Your leadership team isn’t operating at the level you need.

Mike Lee

Advisor & Leadership Coach

Mike Lee is a business owner, board-level advisor, and leadership coach with nearly three decades of experience building, leading, and advising growth-oriented companies.

As Owner and President of GRS Recruiting, Mike assumed leadership in the early 2000s and became an owner in 2006. Under his direction, the firm achieved more than 5x revenue growth while maintaining strong margins and a people-first culture. After transitioning from front-line production into full-time leadership, his focus has centered on organizational design, financial stewardship, leadership development, compensation architecture, and long-term succession planning.

Mike has served on advisory boards across manufacturing, home services, fitness, and technology businesses, participating in companies from early-stage formation through growth, scale, and successful exit. He has also been an active member and chapter leader within Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) since 2007, contributing to peer advisory, leadership development, and global learning communities.  He brings the perspective of a true operator who has carried full P&L responsibility, navigated economic cycles, allocated capital, and developed leaders over decades.

Through LP3 Business Advisors, Mike works alongside owner/operators as a strategic partner, board-level advisor, and coach. He helps growth-minded owners gain clarity around their long-term vision, install disciplined operating rhythms, strengthen leadership teams, and build companies that generate both sustainable cash flow and long-term optionality. His philosophy is simple: a business should be a vehicle to build the life you want, not something that quietly takes it from you.

Mike is a Board Certified Coach trained in the Intentional Change Theory (ICT) model and is especially skilled in building high-performing sales teams and developing leaders who drive both revenue and culture.

He lives in Munson Township, Ohio, with his wife Alison, whom he has been married to since 1999. They have four grown daughters. A lifelong athlete who played collegiate hockey, Mike competes in national age-level tennis tournaments and is deeply committed to fitness, health, and longevity. He enjoys boating and gathering with family and friends at the family’s lake home on Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland.

Pat Pitrone

Founder & Operating Partner

Pat Pitrone is an award-winning founder, operator, and business advisor with more than 20 years of experience building, scaling, and professionalizing home-services and franchise businesses. He is best known for turning founder-led companies into scalable, systematized, enterprise-value assets.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Pat joined his family’s business, USA Insulation of Cleveland, in 2004 and quickly helped double revenue within two years. As a second-generation owner and Co-Founder of USA Insulation Franchise Corporation and FDI Enterprises, he played a central role in transforming a regional insulation contractor into a vertically integrated national franchise platform.

Beginning in 2008, Pat led the company’s franchising strategy and national expansion. In 2015, he strengthened the company’s competitive moat by acquiring its long-time proprietary foam supplier and relocating manufacturing operations from New York to Cleveland, creating tighter quality control, better margins, and supply chain independence. Under his leadership, the system scaled to 60+ franchise locations across 20+ states, becoming the largest residential retrofit insulation company in the U.S. at the time.

In December 2020, the USA Insulation companies were acquired by The Riverside Company and folded into Threshold Brands, a multi-brand home services franchise platform. Pat remained on post-transaction as President of USA Insulation and was later promoted to Group President of Threshold Brands, where he supported 11 portfolio brands. In that role, he worked across leadership teams on growth strategy, franchising, operations, M&A integration, KPI dashboards, and organizational development — helping founders and operators transition from entrepreneurial execution to professional management systems.

Today, Pat advises founders, operators, and investors through his firm, PJP Business Advisors, serving as a fractional operating partner and board-level advisor to home services, trades, and franchise businesses. His work focuses on:

  • Growth strategy and scaling playbooks
  • EOS / Traction implementation
  • KPI scorecards and operating rhythms
  • Compensation and incentive design
  • Franchise system development
  • Manufacturing and vertical integration strategy
  • Transaction readiness and value creation

Known for his pragmatic, operator-first approach, Pat brings real-world experience — not theory — helping businesses move from “working hard” to “working on the right things.”

He lives in the Cleveland area with his wife and two sons and remains deeply involved in entrepreneurship communities, mentoring founders and leadership teams.
